Yesterday, new products were announced – Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro – two smartphones with 50-megapixel cameras and an attractive price.
Poco X7 Pro
The Poco X7 Pro shares many of the same specs as the Redmi Turbo 4, featuring the Dimensity 8400 chipset and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, reaches a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The main camera on the back features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), and is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel in-display camera.
The Poco X7 Pro packs a 6,000mAh battery. The smartphone supports 90W wired fast charging, which allows you to charge the device from 0 to 100% in 42 minutes. Xiaomi also guarantees 90% battery life after 1,000 charges.
The device runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and offers AI-powered features such as AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion, AI Film, AI Interpreter, AI Notes, and AI Recorder. Additionally, the Google Gemini app is pre-installed.
The smartphone has IP68 water and dust protection, an NFC module, an infrared port, and dual-frequency GPS.
An under-screen fingerprint scanner and dual-SIM support complete the functionality of the device.
Three color options are available: green, black, and yellow (with vegan leather trim). The smartphone is available in three memory configurations – 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB, but the availability of these versions may vary depending on the region.
Poco X7
The Poco X7 is powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset, and its 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz is similar to the Pro version. However, the screen protection here is reduced to Gorilla Glass 7i.
Unlike the Pro with two cameras, the Poco X7 received a triple camera housed in a square block with an LED flash: a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
Like the older model, the main camera supports optical image stabilization and uses a Sony IMX882 sensor. The front camera is equipped with a 20-megapixel sensor.
These specifications are largely similar to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, but the Poco X7 has a smaller battery – 5110 mAh with support for 45W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the battery retains up to 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is equivalent to more than four years of active use.
It’s disappointing that the Poco X7 runs on the first version of HyperOS, offering a limited set of AI features without support for generative AI. However, the smartphone has IP68 water and dust resistance, NFC, an infrared port, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone is available in silver, green, and black with yellow elements. The signature variant is again made of vegan leather. Memory options include 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/512GB with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
In addition, an exclusive version of the Poco X7 Pro Ironman Edition has been released, featuring a 3D Avengers logo on the back panel and stylish branded packaging. This model is offered only in a configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
